Additional Information for the Season - PLEASE READ
Swim Tests: All new rowing athletes are required to pass a swim test for safety reasons. If you are a returning rower, and passed a swim test before, you're all set. Rowers unable or unwilling to do so will be required to wear PFD during all “on-water” activities. The swim test may be performed at most area pools. Please print this form, have it completed by a lifeguard, and bring it to the first practice.
Required Meeting: Parents/Guardians of rowers are required to attend an informational meeting on September 8th from 6:00-8:00 PM in the High School LGI (Arts Entrance).
High School Practice: The first High School Team practice is scheduled for August 24th (Bus leaves the HS at 4pm and returns at roughly 7:00pm). High School Practice is four days a week, M-Th, with a captain run practice at the high school most Saturdays.
Fort Couch Practice: The first Fort Couch Team practice is scheduled for August 25th. Starting this year, Fort Couch rowers will ride the bus with the high school rowers to the boathouse together, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. High School and Fort Couch will occur at the same time but will be coached separately.
Transportation: Upper St Clair High School provides bus transportation for all rowers, both High School and Fort Couch, to our boathouse, located at Montour Marina.
